About Bob Cawley and Steve Shaw

Bob Cawley

Robert Cawley is the servant leader most aspire to become. His pedigree is vast with over 20 years in the ministry and over 30 years serving as a true fixed operations director. Bob Cawley also served as a mentor to Steve Shaw, fostering his growth and development within the automotive dealership industry.

During his tenure at South Bay and Horne Auto Group, Bob developed a Leadership Training Program. This program is highly sought after by dealer groups nationwide. Bob now speaks to groups and helps dealerships grow, develop, and retain employees using his simple system of process and associate improvement.

Bob attributes his success at South Bay Ford to the innovative communication system he pioneered and developed, widely and respectfully known as "PIGs" among his colleagues. “PIGs” is an acronym for PROCESS IMPROVEMENT GROUPS. These small groups created, developed, and implemented every process for the entire fixed operations of over 100 technicians, dozens of service advisors and support staff. Bob’s plan became the model for Ford Motor Company fixed operations development and is still being utilized today in dealerships and express operations across the country.

Steven Shaw is well known in the automotive industry as a professional speaker, trainer and dealership expert. Steven is held in the highest regard by dealer principals, executives and associates worldwide. Steve may be considered the top service advisor trainer in the North America. He has authored 2 books on dealership service and customer handling. Clients range from small dealerships to the largest publicly held auto groups.
